Adele fans have been waiting for the British singer’s next album for more than five years. Earlier this month, the star emerged from hibernation and announced the upcoming release of a new track, Easy On Me. This single leads to the release of her fourth album – which would be titled 30. In a new interview , Adele has revealed how the album will be a glimpse into her life during her marriage breakdown, as well as a plan for her son, Angelo.
Adele separated from her husband, Simon Konecki, in 2019.
This week, the singer performed part of her new song on an Instagram Live, where she was asked what the song and the rest of the album were about.
Laughing in front of the camera, she said, “Divorce, baby. Divorce!”
Earlier this week, she opened up about the inspiration for the song, saying, “This one is obviously about things that have happened, but I wanted to put it on the album to show Angelo how I expect. what he treats his partner. ” (Via Vogue)

Adele continued, “Whether it’s a woman, a man or whatever. After going through a divorce my demands are very high. There is a really big pair of shoes to fill.”
She also explained how the album served as an explanation for her son as to why she had separated from his father.
“My son had a lot of questions,” she revealed. “Really good questions, really innocent questions, to which I just don’t have an answer. [Such as:] “Why can’t you live together yet? “”
She added: “I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his whole life in search of my own happiness. “
Adele revealed that the end of her nuptials was more “a drift than an explosion”.
She continued, “It just wasn’t… It just wasn’t good for me anymore. I didn’t want to end up like a lot of other people I knew.
“I was not wretched miserable, but I would have been miserable if I hadn’t put myself first. But, yeah, nothing bad happened or anything like that. “
Since discussions about Adele’s album began, her chances of returning to Glastonbury have improved dramatically.
The star last made headlines at the festival in 2017. And odds suggest she could do the same in 2022.
Currently, the star has 1/2 chances of taking first place – the same as Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney.
